Asemic Zines - Absence
"Absence" is a four-zine booklet series that unfolds to reveal unique accompanying compositions on the opposite side. The design approach is inspired by marks found in architectural sketches, treating them as a form of asemic writing: illegible, abstracted text that communicates ideas visually.
While referencing the structure and rhythm of written language, these marks do not rely on actual words, allowing meaning to emerge through gesture, form, and absence.
