Intermediate of Graphic Design - Project 2 Musical Poster
Overview
Tasked with selecting a musical genre and piece, then design a poster expressing its mood and meaning through abstract marks, stylizations, and typography informed by its sound, history, and cultural context.
Delivery
The chosen musical genre was Hindustani classical music, with the Veena, a traditional string instrument, symbolizing the sounds of this rich tradition. Stylized henna art and vibrant colors were thoughtfully incorporated to honor the depth and beauty of Indian culture. Finally, incorporation of "evening reflections" was placed in to reflect the mood and essence of the musical piece.
